The recipe for our organic baby milk based on cow’s milk or goat’s milk is designed to provide the best possible nutrient-rich nutrition during the first 1,000 days, as this is precisely the period that shapes your baby’s development. Our cow’s milk-based baby milk contains skimmed milk, milk proteins, lactose, maltodextrin and starch (for follow-on formula only), vegetable oils, vitamins, GOS, DHA and ARA, among other ingredients. You can find a detailed explanation in our magazine, where we explain what makes our cow’s milk-based baby food so special and how it differs from breast milk. We also offer an organic goat’s milk-based baby milk of the same trusted Löwenzahn Organics quality. Our goat’s milk-based baby food is particularly easy to digest and contains no palm oil.

You will also find the following instructions on our milk packages, which will guide you step by step through the preparation:

Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool to approx. 40-50 °C.Pour ½ of the required amount of water into the bottle.Add the amount of powder to the baby bottle according to the table.Fill the measuring scoop and level off.Close the baby bottle and shake vigorously.Add the remaining drinking water and shake well.Check that it is at drinking temperature (approx. 37 °C).

Once opened, you should use the infant formula within two weeks. To ensure its shelf life, store the container in a dry place. Always keep the scoop clean and dry. Thoroughly clean your bottle, nipple and ring after each use.

The measuring spoon included in our milk packages is designed to match the spoon weight printed on it. Spoons printed with L10 are used 90% of the time, while L11 or L9 are less common.

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid that is important for infants and plays a role in brain development and the development of eyesight. When developing our infant formula, it was very important to us to include sufficient amounts of this fatty acid in our recipe.

Naturally, DHA is found in fatty fish as well as in microalgae. Since we do not want to use fish oil in our infant formula, we have chosen oil from the microalga Crypthecodinium cohnnii as a source of DHA.

Lactose is a special sugar that is also found in breast milk. This so-called milk sugar serves as an energy source for your baby and is particularly important during the first few months of life. That is why our baby milk contains lactose. In our organic pre-starter formula, it is even the main source of carbohydrates.

Löwenzahn Organics baby milk is available with palm oil, but also without palm oil. Our organic goat milk-based baby milk and organic whole milk baby milk are palm oil-free, as the important palmitic acid is naturally abundant. We use organic and RSPO-certified palm oil in our cow milk-based milk—and we do so deliberately.

Our goal is to provide babies with the best possible nutrient composition for age-appropriate development through our milk. In our cow milk-based milk formula, we use palm oil because of its ideal fatty acid composition, especially its high palmitic acid content, which is also found in breast milk. Unfortunately, other fat sources contain significantly less palmitic acid. Palm oil is therefore beneficial for your baby’s healthy development. Why is it still criticized? During the processing of the oil, there is a risk that so-called 3-MCPD fatty acid and glycidyl esters may form. These are suspected of being carcinogenic. Therefore, every single batch of our milk formula is tested by both the production facility and an independent laboratory for 3-MCPD and glycidyl esters, among other things. Through careful raw material selection, we have found palm oil that is not only organic but also RSPO-certified, which we use in our milk formula. Our organic goat milk-based baby milk and whole milk baby milk contain no palm oil. Palmitic acid, which is found in palm oil, is naturally abundant in goat milk and whole cow's milk. Palmitic acid is an important component of the fatty acid profile in baby formula, as it also makes up a large proportion of the saturated fatty acids in breast milk.

No. Our baby formula is not vegetarian due to the use of animal rennet in the production of certain ingredients.

The information on the packaging is for guidance only. In fact, requirements vary from child to child. Both pieces of information are therefore correct. Parents must decide how many additional bottle feeds their child needs alongside complementary foods (depending on age, the number of complementary food meals per day, etc.).

No. Goat milk-based baby formula is not a milk formula for allergy sufferers (not an HA formula). However, it is easier to digest and well tolerated.

It is possible to switch directly from one infant formula to the next. This applies both to the switch from our cow’s milk-based infant formula to our goat’s milk-based infant formula, and to our skimmed milk powder-based infant formula to our whole milk powder-based infant formula. All our infant formulas comply with EU regulations and are tailored to the needs of babies, thus providing sufficient nutrients.

Yes, for example, you can feed Pre Milk during the day and Follow-on Milk 6+ in the evening before bedtime. The only important thing is that you do not mix the two types of milk powder.

For legal reasons, we are unfortunately not permitted to offer discounts or free samples of our Bio Pre infant formula. This is due to the WHO Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes . In addition, Article 10 of Regulation (EU) 2016/127 prohibits the advertising of infant formula. This includes the distribution of samples as well as the provision of free or discounted products.

At Löwenzahn Organics, we attach great importance to organic quality. Unfortunately, it is not possible to produce the hydrolyzed whey proteins used in HA foods in organic quality. Bringing a non-organic product to market is out of the question for us, which is why we do not carry this product in our range.

Whole milk baby formula is less processed, contains natural milk fats and is free from palm oil. The difference between "standard" baby formula and whole milk baby formula is the milk base. While we use skimmed milk as the base for "standard" formula, whole milk is used for whole milk formula.

In terms of vitamin and mineral content, as well as all other ingredients (DHA, ARA, GOS), the formulas do not differ significantly. However, we add taurine to the whole milk baby formula to aid fat absorption, as well as nucleotides to support the development of the digestive tract. The addition of the dietary fibres GOS and FOS in a 9:1 ratio helps maintain intestinal balance and supports digestion. Furthermore, whole milk baby formula can be made without palm oil.

From now on, we are consciously moving away from the traditional division of follow-on milk. Instead, there is exactly one organic follow-on milk per variety that reliably supports your child. These are designed to optimally meet the nutrient requirements after 6 months up to the first birthday and beyond – in combination with a balanced complementary or family diet. Learn more

With a milk subscription, you’ll always have milk at home.

Choose between our organic baby milk made from cow’s milk or goat’s milk. Then choose between Pre starter formula or 6+ follow-on formula. After that, you can choose a delivery schedule: every 3, 4, or 5 weeks.

Go to the milk subscription

If you have ordered a subscription, a customer account will be automatically created for you. This is the only way we can know which address your subscription order should be delivered to regularly.

In your customer account, you can manage your subscription: postpone the next order, change the delivery frequency, cancel, or change your address or payment method.

You can easily change the delivery frequency in your customer account. Go to the “My Subscriptions” menu, then select “Change delivery frequency” and choose your new desired delivery frequency: every 3, 4, or 5 weeks.

You can move the date of your next subscription delivery forward to receive the milk earlier. You can also postpone or skip an order.

Please allow 1–2 days for delivery (within Germany) and note that deliveries are only made on business days (Mon–Fri).

Visit your customer account to change the delivery date. Select “Upcoming Subscription Orders” from the menu and change the next delivery date.

Note: It is not possible to move the date to the next day. There must be at least 24 hours between the time you make the change and the delivery date.

You can change your preferred payment method in your customer account. Go to the “My Subscriptions” menu and then select “Change Payment Method.” Here, for example, you can switch from a credit card to PayPal or add a different card.

You can change the milk in your customer account. To do this, go to "Subscriptions" in the menu and then select "Exchange product".

In your customer account, you can edit your shipping and billing addresses. To do this, select “My Subscriptions” in the menu on the right and then “Change Address.”

Caution: Of course, it is possible that you may change your billing address instead of your shipping address, or vice versa. Therefore, please make sure you are changing the address you intended.

You can cancel your milk subscription at any time. Visit the “My Subscriptions” menu item in your customer account and then select “Cancel”. Your subscription will remain in “Pending Cancellation” status until the end of the final billing cycle. If you cancel by mistake or change your mind, you can reactivate it during this period.

Yes. Three days before the next “order date,” you will receive an email reminding you of the next charge. You still have the option, for example, to update your address or postpone your next order.

You can use our bone broth for babies to enhance savory baby food meals, vegetable purées, or dishes such as pasta with tomato sauce. Of course, you can also use bone broth as a base for soups or stews. Simply take the desired amount, spoonful by spoonful, from the Organic Bone Broth jar and add it to your chosen dish while it is still heating on the stove.

Fonds are very similar to bone broth. Both can be used as a base for sauces or soups. The difference lies in the cooking time. A fond is usually reduced more than broth made from bones. In addition, our organic bone broth was specially developed for babies and therefore contains no added salt, for example.

With our organic bone broth for babies, you don’t have to worry about using it all at once. You can store any unheated leftovers in the refrigerator and should use them within three days.

Yes, you can freeze porridge with bone broth in a suitable container. However, after thawing, the porridge should be boiled or heated thoroughly again. We advise against freezing bone broth in glass. We recommend transferring the contents from the glass to another container. This is because the glass can crack due to the expansion of the liquid. The compound (the sealing rim in the lid that seals the glass) is also not suitable for this.

Our organic bone broth for babies is a bone broth specially developed for babies' nutrition, which has been cooked for 18 hours based on beef or chicken bones. In addition, it contains no additional salt, but a variety of minerals and collagen and glycine. A vegetarian alternative would be vegetable broth, which, however, does not contain the same nutrients as our organic bone broth. 

These are suspended particles that tend to settle at the bottom. If the glass is not shaken, it may therefore appear darker at the bottom than at the top. These include, among others, proteins or particles from the vegetables used. Although the broth is passed through a straining cloth (fine sieve) after production, it is not clarified by adding additional substances (such as gelatin). It is a natural product that has not undergone any additional processing.

These are small fat particles.

Unlike the bone broth for babies, salt is added to the beef bone broth for mums. The organic bone broth for mums also contains anise, caraway, coriander seeds and juniper berries.

No, the Organic Bone Broth for the postpartum period is a beef bone broth and an animal product. It is gently simmered for 18 hours to extract the collagen from the bones of organically pasture-raised cattle.

No. We have completely avoided adding sugar.

Our beef bone broth for moms is shelf-stable for 24 months from the date of production. After opening, store the remainder in the refrigerator and consume it within 3 days.

The energy balls are not suitable for consumption during pregnancy, as there are indications that fenugreek can induce labor.

Yes. Our Organic Energy Balls are vegan.

Our Energy Balls contain no added refined sugar. They contain only the natural sweetness of dates and mangos. Our Chocolate Energy Balls contain a small amount of rice syrup, which helps balance the flavor.

Our products are tested multiple times throughout the entire production process, and the raw materials are also tested in laboratories before being used in our products. We use a double, closely monitored network of controls. We also regularly commission additional testing by external, certified laboratories that are among the best in Germany. They thoroughly and carefully examine our baby food once again.

MOSH and MOAH are saturated and aromatic mineral oil hydrocarbons, respectively, which belong to the category of mineral oil residues.

Mineral oils can enter baby food or food in general through contaminated raw materials, during the production process, for example through machinery, or through packaging. In food production, they cannot be avoided without exception. Unfortunately, they are present everywhere in the environment.

For us, MOSH and also MOAH are undesirable in our products. MOAH has never been detected in our products and is considered by experts and regulators to be the most critical mineral oil component. We are not yet where we want to be with MOSH. For this reason, we have developed an immediate action program with which we want to ensure a further reduction of MOSH – as well as the permanent avoidance of MOAH – in our infant and young child food.

All our products are made in Europe: organic milk food in Austria, Demeter Porridge and Organic Energy Bites in Denmark, and Organic Bone Broth as well as Organic Energy Balls in Germany.

Our organic products are developed by our in-house product development team in collaboration with experts in the field of baby food and organic products. They are based on the latest scientific findings in infant nutrition.

The best-before date indicates how long food will keep for at least a minimum period without loss of quality. As a rule, most foods are still edible after the stated date. That is why we continue to use our products for that long as well. We have a guarantee from our manufacturer that our organic cow’s milk-based baby formula has a shelf life of 20 months when unopened and stored correctly.

We know that some manufacturers already dispose of products with a short shelf life. For us, that is not an option. We want to treat resources and nature with respect. If you order larger quantities to keep in stock, we will, of course, make sure that you receive products with a longer shelf life.

Unfortunately, an exchange is not possible. However, you can return the order to us, and we would ask you to place a new order for the product you want.

As soon as your return has arrived, we will issue a refund to the payment method we have on file.

In general, with Löwenzahn Organics, you always have the option to return unopened baby milk within 14 days and receive a refund.

Because we particularly care about the well-being of the little ones, we voluntarily offer our customers an additional money-back guarantee so that our baby milk can be tested without obligation.

And here is how it works: You order the organic baby milk of your choice, test one pack, and if you are not satisfied, you contact our customer service at hello@loewenzahnorganics.com . Within 14 days (based on the date/time of your order), you can claim a refund for your product, even if the pack has already been completely used up.

However, in the case of a milk subscription, we will only refund one pack, and only if it is your first order for this product. You are welcome to return the remaining unopened packages from your subscription within the normal 14-day return period, and these will also be refunded upon receipt and inspection of the goods. Please contact our customer service team to coordinate this; they will be happy to help you.

Once all details have been clarified and any returns have arrived at and been inspected at our warehouse, we will transfer your money-back guarantee or return refund to your account as quickly as possible.

Please understand that we unfortunately cannot additionally refund any shipping costs.

We process orders Monday to Thursday within 24 hours. We then hand your order over to DHL. Within Germany, DHL standard shipping takes one to two business days, and for all other EU countries, shipping takes up to seven business days.
