Organic Follow-On Milk is the right infant formula for babies with a growing appetite. After the 6th month, Organic Follow-On Milk 6+ is age-appropriate and satisfying. Important LCP (long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids) are standard in Löwenzahn Organics infant formula for the child's development. LCPs include the omega-3 fatty acid DHA and the omega-6 fatty acid ARA. As a source of carbohydrates, maltodextrin and starch are included in the formula in addition to lactose. The use of organic raw materials means, among other things, no genetic engineering and no pesticides. Palm oil comes from organic and sustainable cultivation. Algae oil (not fish oil) is included as an omega-3 source. Löwenzahn Organics is certified by the inspection body DE-ÖKO-006. Halal certified.

Preparation

Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool down to approx. 40-50 °C.
Add ½ of the required amount of water to the bottle.
Add the amount of powder into the bottle according to the table. To do this, fill the measuring spoon and wipe off.
Close the vial and shake vigorously.
Add the remaining amount of drinking water and shake well.
Check the drinking temperature (approx. 37°C).

Complex carbohydrates

Lactose is easy and quick for baby's stomach to digest. However, as the baby grows, so does their appetite. This is satisfied in our follow-on milk 6+ with the long-chain and complex carbohydrates maltodextrin and starch. These carbohydrates are digested more slowly and therefore keep you full longer.

DHA:ARA

Our follow-on milk contains DHA (an omega-3 fatty acid) and ARA (an omega-6 fatty acid). We have opted for a mixture in a 1:1 ratio and thus add more valuable ingredients than prescribed by the EU. According to EU standards, DHA is mandatory, but the addition of ARA is voluntary.

DHA from algae oil instead of fish oil

Algae oil serves as a source of DHA in our milk formula. Traditionally, fish oil is used in infant formula. We have deliberately chosen algae oil because it is free of harmful substances and clearly more sustainable, as well as tasting better.

Why follow-on milk?

First infant formula and follow-on milk differ significantly. Follow-on milk is tailored to the needs of babies after 6 months and contains more nutrients such as iron, calcium and iodine. In addition, follow-on milk than first infant formula.Follow-on milks contain two nutrients that make you feel full: complex, long-chain carbohydrates and proteins. Starch and maltodextrin are carbohydrates, while whey protein and casein are proteins. The key to satiety is actually in the ratio of the two protiens contained in the formulation.
