More porridge, better price

 

Until now, our Demeter porridge has been available in doypacks. Following feedback from our customers, we have decided in favour of a box with more content and a better price for you. Everything else remains the same: with only Demeter whole grains gently milled and roasted.

Cooking instead of swelling

The first cereal porridge for your baby after the fourth month: Baby Porridge Pure Oat. Oats are particularly well utilised by the body and are full of iron and fibre.

Our organic baby porridge is the only non-instant cereal porridge for babies in Germany and is homemade in just two minutes. Unlike a conventional baby porridge, our porridges have not been industrially pre-cooked and subjected to dehydration. Precious wholemeal cereals and natural flavour are retained: This way little ones are perfectly prepared for whole foods later on.

Demeter Baby Porridge is suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner - even for in-between meals.

Preparation

As a dairy-free cereal porridge

  1. Put a heaped tablespoon of porridge (about 18 g) in a saucepan with 200 ml of water and mix well with a whisk.
  2. Bring to the boil on the cooker and cook, stirring, until the porridge thickens (about 2 minutes).
  3. Cool to consumption temperature (37 °C) and add a teaspoon of organic oil (e.g. rapeseed oil).

As half-milk porridge

  1. Place a heaped tablespoon of porridge (approx. 18 g) with 100 ml water and 100 ml whole milk* in a saucepan and mix well with a whisk.
  2. Bring to the boil on the cooker and cook, stirring, until the porridge thickens (about 2 minutes).
  3. Cool to consumption temperature (37 °C).

* It is of course possible to substitute cow's milk with vegan milk substitutes such as rice milk, almond milk or oat milk, provided you have discussed these special dietary needs and forms with your doctor or midwife. When buying milk substitutes, make sure that no sugar, salt or vitamins have been added to the product.

 

With formula

  1. Put a heaped tablespoon of porridge (about 18 g) in a saucepan with 150 ml of water and mix well with a whisk.
  2. Bring to the boil on the cooker and cook, stirring, until the porridge thickens (about 2 minutes).
  3. Cool to consumption temperature (37 °C) and mix it with about 100 ml of the ready-made infant formula.

Dietary fibre

Dietary fibres are largely non-digestible components of our food. Thanks to their ability to expand in the intestine in combination with water, they naturally aid digestion and ensure long-lasting satiety.

Gluten-free

Oats are a wonderful cereal to start your baby eating complementary foods. It has the advantage of slowly introducing your baby to solid foods without overwhelming the stomach.

Iron

Iron is abundant in oats. It is a trace element and fulfils important functions in the human body. Its field of activity includes cell formation and so-called "cell respiration". This means that the oxygen absorbed through the lungs is bound to the red blood pigment haemoglobin with the help of iron and distributed throughout the body via the blood.
