More porridge, better price
Until now, our Demeter porridge has been available in doypacks. Following feedback from our customers, we have decided in favour of a box with more content and a better price for you. Everything else remains the same: with only Demeter whole grains gently milled and roasted.
Cooking instead of swelling
Demeter Baby Porridge 4-Grain consists of einkorn, oats, rye and barley and provides valuable energy from long-chain carbohydrates. The cereal porridge is rich in fibre and an ideal for the start of complementary feeding.
Our Demeter Baby Porridge is a cereal porridge made from high-quality whole grains. To ensure that all the important nutrients are retained, we do not use industrial pre-cooking and do not subject the organic baby porridge to dehydration. Therefore, in contrast to instant porridge, Demeter porridge is briefly boiled when freshly prepared at home and then develops its full flavour. A perfect way to introduce solid foods to your baby.
Demeter Baby Porridge is suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner - even for in-between meals.
As a dairy-free cereal porridge
- Put a heaped tablespoon of porridge (about 18 g) in a saucepan with 200 ml of water and mix well with a whisk.
- Bring to the boil on the cooker and cook, stirring, until the porridge thickens (about 2 minutes).
- Cool to consumption temperature (37 °C) and add a teaspoon of organic oil (e.g. rapeseed oil).
As half-milk porridge
- Place a heaped tablespoon of porridge (approx. 18 g) with 100 ml water and 100 ml whole milk* in a saucepan and mix well with a whisk.
- Bring to the boil on the cooker and cook, stirring, until the porridge thickens (about 2 minutes).
- Cool to consumption temperature (37 °C).
* It is of course possible to substitute cow's milk with vegan milk substitutes such as rice milk, almond milk or oat milk, provided you have discussed these special dietary needs and forms with your doctor or midwife. When buying milk substitutes, make sure that no sugar, salt or vitamins have been added to the product.
With formula
- Put a heaped tablespoon of porridge (about 18 g) in a saucepan with 150 ml of water and mix well with a whisk.
- Bring to the boil on the cooker and cook, stirring, until the porridge thickens (about 2 minutes).
- Cool to consumption temperature (37 °C) and mix it with about 100 ml of the ready-made infant formula.
