Psst... So far only our original first infant formula has been tested by Stiftung Warentest and named the test winner. The others have not yet been tested. We are eagerly awaiting further reviews.

Why do we have more than one formula?
Every baby tummy is different. We also follow current scientific studies on the subject of infant formula and take feedback from customers extremely seriously. That's why we have developed two more varieties after our original baby formula. The recipes respond to current scientific studies about infant formula and customer wishes.
We have a total of three types of organic baby milk, each with a "pre" formulation for the period after birth and also follow-on milk.
What makes our infant formula different?
First of all: All of our Löwenzahn Organics baby fomulas contain all the important nutrients that your baby needs for optimal development in the first 1,000 days. However, there are differences in the recipes.
Original
Löwenzahn Organics Original Organic Baby Formula is tailored to the needs of babies.
Our original organic baby formula includes the organic "pre"-initial milk, organic follow-on milk 6+ and organic follow-on milk 10+.
Our original milk formula is one of our best-selling products. The organic "pre"first initial milk was named test winner by the independent German consumer magazine Stiftung Warentest in 2022. Always made with certified European organic milk, without fish oil. With all the important nutrients your baby needs for optimal development.

Whole milk
Löwenzahn Organics organic baby formula made from whole cow's milk with even more nutrients - without palm oil.
The series of European organic baby formula made from whole milk (without palm oil) contains the organic pre-first infant formula made from whole milk, organic follow-on milk 6+ made from whole milk and organic toddler's follow-on milk made from whole milk.
Whole cow's milk powder is very similar to breast milk in its fatty acid composition. That's why our baby milk made from whole cow's milk is less processed and contains no palm oil or other tropical oils. In addition, based on current scientific studies, it contains even more nutrients. These include prebiotic bio-FOS, nucleotides (building blocks of DNA) and the amino acid taurine (important for fat absorption).
Let us explain the benefits of our baby milk made from whole milk in more detail. More about whole milk baby milk .

For sensitive tummies
Löwenzahn Organics organic baby formula made from whole goat's milk for sensitive tummies.
Our certified European organic formula made from whole goat's milk for sensitive tummies includes an organic "Pre" first infant formula based on goat's milk and the organic follow-on milk 6+ based on goat's milk.
Proteins and fats in baby formula based on goat's milk powder are structured differently compared to baby formula based on cow's milk powder. For example, goat milk contains smaller “fat globules” that are easier to digest by babies with sensitive stomachs. Since our organic baby formula based on goat's milk is made from whole milk, all of the milk's own fats are retained and no palm oil or other tropical oils are added.
So that baby's tummy doesn't hurt anymore. More about our organic baby formula made from goat milk .

What do all of our infant formulas have in common?
For optimal development of your baby, all important nutrients are contained in all baby formulas from Löwenzahn Organics. That's why we want to tell you more about our standards in all of our milk formula. The following ingredients are always included:
Omega 3 fatty acid (DHA) and Omega 6 fatty acid (ARA)
All of our formulas contains DHA and ARA in a ratio of 1:1, as this ratio is very important for the optimal effect of both substances. DHA contributes to the development of visual skills in infants. DHA is legally required in the EU.
DHA from algae oil instead of fish oil
In Löwenzahn Organics baby formulas, algae oil is always the source of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA. Other baby milk manufacturers often use fish oil as a source of DHA. We use algae oil to avoid the allergen fish oil and to protect the oceans. In addition, our formula have no fishy smell or taste.
Milk proteins for growth and digestion
The main ingredient of infant formula is powdered cow's or goat's milk. Either it is skimmed milk powder, which is used in our original baby formula, or whole milk powder, which we use in our whole milk formula and formula for sensitive tummies based on goat's milk.
In general, milk powder contains important proteins that are important for the growth and digestion of babies. The protein content of our milk formula is up to 1.5 grams per 100 millilitres.
Attention, we not only attach great importance to the content, but also to the composition of the proteins. In Löwenzahn Organics formula, the ratio of casein and whey protein is adjusted to the age-related needs of babies.
The ratio of whey protein to casein differs between "pre" first infant formulas and follow-on milk. In our pre milk the ratio is 60:40, follow-on milk is 50:50 and children's milk is 30:70.
The clear outlier is our formula for sensitive tummies - it is based on whole goat's milk. The pre- and follow-on milk for sensitive tummies has the whey protein to casein ratio of 20:80, which is naturally present in goat's milk.
Lactose for quickly available energy
Lactose, also known as milk sugar, is naturally present in breast milk. That's why lactose is the main source of carbohydrate in all of our pre-feeds and the entire range of whole milk baby formulas. Babies can quickly convert lactose into energy because of its simple structure.
Vitamins and minerals for important metabolic functions
Vitamins such as vitamin D and minerals such as calcium are also contained in Löwenzahn Organics milk formula. Vitamins and minerals are important for the function of the immune system and support the growth and bone development of children.
Comparison of our pre-food and follow-on milk
Löwenzahn Organics has a total of three types of organic infant milk in its range. Each range of infant formula - 'original', 'whole milk' and 'for sensitive tummies' - each has a first infant "pre" milk and at least one follow-up milk. We have compared our first infant milks for you. We also did the same with our follow-on milk.
Löwenzahn Organics "Pre" Nutrition
All Löwenzahn Organics first infant formulas are suitable for your baby from birth and contain lactose as a carbohydrate source.
The biggest difference between the individual initial formulas is the animal milk source. Our original "pre" nutrition is based on cow's skimmed milk. It no longer contains all animal fats. These are replaced by vegetable fats. In contrast, our whole milk "pre" formula is based on whole cow's milk and our "pre" formula for sensitive tummies is based on whole goat's milk. Both contain all of the milk's own fats and do not contain palm oil.
Our first infant formula for sensitive tummies is easy to digest because the proteins and fats in whole goat's milk powder are structured differently compared to those in cow's milk. And our first infant formula made from whole milk contains even more nutrients than the other two pre-foods: nucleotides (building blocks of DNA) and taurine (important for fat absorption) .
Löwenzahn Organics Organic Follow-On Milk 6+
All Löwenzahn Organics follow-on milks 6+ are suitable for your baby after the 6th month or from the 7th month. The individual follow-on milks differ in the animal milk source and the additional nutrients.
Starch is a valuable source of energy and can be contained in follow-on milk. For parents who want to avoid starch in their baby's diet, we offer our follow-on milk made from whole milk, which is rich in iron, calcium and iodine.
Löwenzahn Organics follow-on milk 10+ and toddler follow-on milk
The original follow-on milk 10+ and the toddler follow-on milk are both ideal for children from the first year of life. The original 10+ is also suitable for babies after the 10th month.
They differ in the milk source. The Original 10+ is based on skimmed milk and the whole milk for toddlers is based on whole milk. Furthermore, whole milk children's milk has additional nutrients compared to the original.
